Nowadays, it’s becoming harder to distinguish original from edited photos. Adobe is working on a new content authenticity tool to reveal photos that have been digitally altered through Photoshop.
The new tool is currently in the prototype phase. It will provide the credits to the image’s creator if they are included in the original image, as well as detail the history of edits that have been made to the content.
This will help users differentiate actual and modified images online. Adobe hopes to launch the new feature soon and extend the technology to work on deepfaked videos in the future.
