The coronavirus has placed the world at a standstill, and this Lunar New Year will not come unharmed as families are driven to carry on their festivities without the usual cheer.
Condemning COVID-19 for dampening the holidays, a mesmerizing 3D display at the Pavilion mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia imagines a bull shoving its horns into its enemy, the disease.
The show takes up two adjacent corners of the building’s giant LED screen, giving off the illusion of a glass cage that the creature eventually breaks free from.
In a symbolic move commemorating the Chinese Year of the Ox, the bull is depicted to get a fresh coat of gold. Perhaps brimming with a newfound confidence from the majestic makeover, it attacks an image representing COVID-19, which shatters the surrounding glass and gives the bull an opportunity to escape into the nearby foyer.
The message, “Blessings of good health and prosperity,” flashes on the LED screen upon the animal’s getaway.
The stunt is reminiscent of a 3D billboard unveiled recently in China, which saw a lion “escaping” from its glass enclosure and astonishing passersby.
“May this ground-breaking Golden Bull charge with energy in the fight against COVID-19 to bring blessings of Good Health and Prosperity to the Nation,” the mall’s representatives shared in the description of its promotional video.
Woah... This is superbly well done
